Courts in the Fredericksburg-Stafford area differ significantly from those in the larger jurisdictions to the north. The practices, procedures and expectations of courts in these jurisdictions are not always written down somewhere in a book. Many of them are learned only through years of experience in the courts and before certain judges. Our attorneys in Fredericksburg practice in these courts every day—they know the local judges and the local system.

The following is a sampling of client reviews for the attorneys in our Fredericksburg office:
“★★★★★ I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this firm. I had the privilege of working with Lindsay Connolly and her paralegal Matthew Hall and words cannot describe how thankful I am for them and all of their dedication and hard work. I hired Lindsay for a difficult custody case. She was always upfront, professional, organized, punctual, and determined to do everything in her power to make sure I received custody of my children. Truthfully, it’s disappointing to know our time has come to an end (as thankful as I am that it is). However, I can confidently say I would trust and recommend Lindsay to take on any case involving child custody and/or child support. I can’t thank her and Matt enough for giving me the peace of mind I was so desperately searching and praying for. If you’re looking for an attorney that is willing to go above and beyond and genuinely cares for their client, this is your woman!” – Casey L.
“★★★★★ This law firm never stops working for you. Sarah Patras was our attorney in a Family case where a lot of paperwork was involved and a lot of serious issues and inaccurate information needed to be addressed. Ms. Patras was optimistic from the beginning and gave us the confidence to move forward even when some other issues came up. Their paralegal Ashley Constant was always available even when Ms. Patras was tied up and they both stayed in constant communication throughout the entire ordeal. I could not be happier with the representation of Ms. Patras or the assistance of Ms. Constant. If you have a family law case you could not ask for a better fighter to stand up for you in court or with DSS. Livesay and Myers will truly fight to win your case and keep in contact every step of the way. This is a law firm you can trust. Thank you Sarah and Ashley and thank you Livesay and Myers.” – Stephen C.
“★★★★★ I went to Livesay & Myers seeking help with custody, separation, and divorce. During my consultation I met with Mrs. Nicole O’Neal and was very impressed with her knowledge and drive to help me get my children back. Mrs. Nicole and Mr. Matthew her paralegal made me feel as if they devoted themselves to staying on top of my situation even going as far as to check on my situation after hours and on the weekends. They both displayed themselves with the highest level of professionalism of any lawyer/paralegal I have encountered. I would highly recommend this extremely capable team to anyone seeking help in custody, separation, and divorce matters.” – Zachery K.
“★★★★★ I hired Sarah Patras for my divorce. The same day I hired her, Ms. Sarah and her paralegal Ashley Constant started on my case, clarifying each step to me and following the progress of my case in the court system and emailing me about it daily. I did not have time to be stressed as they do not leave you in the dark waiting for what will happen next. I give them all my respect for the professional way they deal with their clients.” – L.S.A.
“★★★★★ I retained Laila Raheen and after our first consultation, there was no need to look any further. Laila was extremely professional and very knowledgeable with case law and court proceedings. I also had the pleasure of working with Nicole O’Neal during the custody process as well. Laila and Nicole were an amazing tandem, both bringing different strategies and courtroom command. Unfortunately the court system is still a bit archaic when it comes to fathers rights and custody, but that didn’t deter Laila or Nicole from fighting every step of the way. When it came down to the trial, their courtroom demeanor, etiquette, presentation and command presence was simply amazing. The effort they put into the case really showed as they were extremely organized and had a well thought out game plan. They made opposing counsel look amateur when it came to presentation, knowledge, professionalism and preparation. They worked long hours and always kept me up to date with any pertinent info that needed my attention. Both are extremely professional but they are bulldogs in court when they need to be. They fought hard for my case and I would highly recommend these two to anyone needing representation in the NoVa and Fredericksburg area.” – Kurt F.
“★★★★★ In preparation for an uncontested divorce, I spoke with many lawyers but only the team Sarah Patras and Ashley Constant won my confidence. Every conversation left me feeling like I was the most important client they had. All questions were answered and I was never in the dark about what was happening next. I was blessed to have them on my team making an unpleasant situation bearable.” – Brent
“★★★★★ I normally do not do reviews but I have decided to take a moment and do one for Livesay and Myers. I highly recommend this firm. From my initial consultation to picking up my closing packet, they were exceptional, informative and handled my divorce in a timely manner. I honestly do not have a negative thing to say about them.” – Michelle M.
