They helped me alter a very unfair divorce decree and settle some back spousal support payments that I had missed. Ms. Katie Anderson (my lawyer) and Ms. Membreno (her paralegal) were always able to answer my questions in a timely fashion, we mainly communicated through email. They did an outstanding job helping me out from under the very heavy financial burden I had “negotiated” for myself when I (mistakenly) thought I could handle my own divorce without legal counsel. Word to the wise from someone who learned the hard way: family law attorneys are absolutely worth the price. From a price standpoint, their rates are reasonable, especially for the excellent level of service I received. It’s said that the true test of a decision is “Would you make the same choice again, knowing the outcome?” In this instance, if I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely hire Livesay & Myers, P.C. without a second thought.

My case was handled by Katie Anderson and her paralegal Rossimar Membreno, and both were talented, personable, and poised. Katie was especially skilled in what I called “translating” – taking dense legal jargon, helping me understand it in down-to-earth terms, and then taking my requests/responses and turning them back into firm legal terms. My divorce case, while uncontested, included some non-standard negotiation, and she was surprisingly adept at researching and implementing contractual solutions to enforce nuanced relational requests. And Rossy, for her part, was extremely prompt and organized – getting such informative responses from her so quickly was tremendously reassuring during a stressful and anxious time. Overall, I have only the best things to say about Livesay and Myers in general and Katie and Rossi in particular.
