I was fortunate to locate the best team – hands down. Seeking an uncontested divorce while serving in the military was a simple matter for my attorney Jonathan McHugh and his paralegals. A life changing event was made calm that guaranteed my peace of mind. The team’s transparency in all matters and their expeditiousness resulted in a successful outcome that benefited all parties. The documentation requirements were made simple compared to online, do-it-yourself sites. The firm was never late, always prompt, and I never felt like I was hanging on for information. Any and all questions I had were answered in full with professionalism and respect from the Livesay & Myers Law Firm. This firm served as the best and most viable option; I truly lucked out in stumbling upon the best law firm that Northern Virginia has to offer. There is no question I would recommend Mr. McHugh and his team to anyone needing legal assistance!
I retained Joe Menze of Livesay & Myers, P.C. to represent me in a visitation case. The fight for my grandparent rights to see my grandson was extremely important to me and very emotional. The services provided by my attorney Joe Menze and paralegal Tammy Scott were exceptional! They were very responsive to my questions and promptly replied to my emails or returned my calls. Due to their diligence and dedication to my case, I now have a visitation schedule filed with the courts and regularly see my grandson to include overnight visits. They brought joy back into my life!
A divorce is never a pleasant experience, however, the Livesay & Myers law group made the process as easy as possible. My attorney Cara Wallace and her paralegal Taryn Arp were communicative and efficient through the whole process. They are the best in the business and I highly recommend them.
Of all the law firms I could have chosen to help me protect my rights as a parent, Livesay & Myers was the best bet! They were very attentive from the beginning and were able to pivot with me when circumstances changed. The staff was professional and courteous and Beth Chavez, my lawyer, was compassionate, realistic, and wasted no time. My situation was resolved within a few weeks and I’m 100% satisfied. If I were to ever need a lawyer again, Livesay & Myers will be my first stop!
I contacted Livesay & Myers after searching the web for military divorce attorneys in Virginia. My divorce was complicated and I needed someone to start resolving the little obstacles and concentrate on the larger issues. I met with Jonathan McHugh for a consultation. He was patient, extremely professional and thorough and made me feel at ease that all my issues would be resolved in a timely manner. Jonathan’s knowledge of the military and estate issues was extensive. After 24 years of abuse, Jonathan, along with his paralegal helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Both of them were quick to respond to any inquiries I had. I felt very comfortable being represented by Livesay & Myers, as I now know personally that Attorney Jonathan McHugh and his paralegal, Tatyana, fought and succeeded in every aspect of my divorce. Even after the divorce was final, Jonathan and Tatyana continued to be attentive to all the financial details that needed to be followed up to conclusion. I feel very comfortable in recommending their services to anyone who needs to accomplish a positive end result from a difficult situation.
I cannot say enough great things about this firm. Joe Menze, my attorney, was very professional, responsive, accommodating, and my case outcome was the best possible outcome. The entire team was very helpful and explained everything. When I had questions I could easily get answers and always was able to reach someone on the phone or by email. What was a difficult and emotional time they showed compassion and understanding. I highly recommend this firm and would definitely use them again.
I interviewed several attorney offices before I found Livesay and Myers. I had instant peace of mind after speaking to my attorney Cara Wallace. She and her paralegal Taryn Arp are quite the pair. I am so glad I went with that “gut feeling” that I was in good hands. I knew the year ahead was going to be like nothing I had ever gone through before. Cara spoke in an effortlessly soothing manner that told me she really had my back. From start to finish. Although I don’t plan on going through another divorce, I certainly would not hesitate to return for their services. I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn’t charged an enormous fee, because what they did for me was worth more than what my fees were, of which they are upfront about. So if you want a professional team to get the job done right, make Livesay and Myers your first; or at least your final call. This company is excellent! P.S. My team even sent well wishes at the end of my journey. Thank you so very much!
Atty. Beth Chavez is so easy to work with. She takes her job seriously, is passionate about the case and communicates effectively with her client. She made my life easy, took her time for me to understand the case status and process. She has patience, took diligence of the paperwork and presented herself in the court very professionally. She is definitely highly recommended to all my friends, family or whoever I might come across if they need a lawyer to represent their case.
Divorce is not something you can really prepare for. There are lot of considerations and though you think you’ve thought of them all, rest assured you haven’t. Jonathan McHugh and his paralegal were both supportive and made me realize some realities. I wanted to just get it done, but Mr. McHugh made me realize that it wasn’t just me that I was preparing this new phase of my life. Since the children were going to reside with me he researched the child support and figured the numbers that were fair based on our incomes. He also showed the options available to me based on what our circumstances in regard to the divorce, but also respected my decision in the matter. One can hope that you get a team like I did to help you through this. Just because you pay top dollar for an attorney that everyone recommends doesn’t mean you will receive what feels like personal care on a one on one basis. Sometimes the ‘top dollar’ legal team is the one that gives you that ‘top dollar’ attention.
I had a great experience with Joe Menze as my divorce attorney. He and his paralegal, Ms. Scott, we’re available to answer questions and provide updates from start to finish. I have no reservations in recommending this firm.
I hired Livesay & Myers to assist with my divorce/custody battle and I could not have been happier with the results. Thanks to the magnificent legal advice from Cara Wallace and Taryn Arp, I was able to settle my divorce with primary physical custody to my 5-year-old son. They were very attentive to my needs and always available for advice. I highly recommend this firm!
I had a very positive experience working with Ms. Beth Chavez and Ms. Taryn Arp, who assisted me in preparation of a marital separation agreement, divorce proceedings and related court orders. They were both responsive, explained the process well, and were mindful to minimize billable time toward my case. Once matters were settled and agreed upon between myself and my ex-spouse, the process proceeded quickly and efficiently toward closure.
